I remember daily discussions with my mother about my modem. And I remember monthly trouble because of the telephone costs :-o

Hee hee. I was brought up to think telephony was infinitely expensive. We had a dial lock at one point. I did learn to dial by hook-flashing, but surely it wasn't me, but one of my brothers, who was running up the bills.
