Do you know if it was accidental or intentional that Loot is actually the second character in Magic with that name? The first was the main character in two short stories written by Michael A Stackpole, a planeswalker with amnesia (this was a loooong while ago, so he was an Oldwalker, technically).

My gut was it wasn't intentional, but I had nothing to do with it, so I don't definitively know.

I remember wanting a cat warrior wife after reading the story as a kid. I loved that story. Loot was great.

Ugin’s cards are certainly powerful but any Ugin story in the near future would need to address the Prison Realm stuff with Bolas, so you are unlikely to see him until that happens.

How did Thunder Junction go from uninhabited to everyone dressing like a cowboy in ~18 montha? In universe I like to think one of the first people on the plane was like “oh you haven’t heard? We all wear these hats” but is there an actual reason?

One of the side stories sort of addresses this but certain clothes make more sense in a desert setting. You change your outfit pretty quick. The cowboy aesthetic was likely brought over early and caught on as the dominant style.

Planeswalking with food was always a gray area. Planeswalkers can travel wearing organic fabric. Nissa travelled with a big wooden stick. Why not other plants?

I think it has a lot to do with the planeswalker's skill (Karn can planeswalk with HUGE things), and also that the multiverse is a lot more porous.
