Do you happen to know the first example in magic’s story of Elspeth reading? me and my friends brought up the point of that she was raised in a Phyrexian prison so it’s entirely possible she couldn’t read (she can read now, she reads a letter in SNC), and so i was curious where the earliest definitive proof that she can read is.

I assume Shenmeng, given the shape of the mountains in the background.

Whether or not that is “P3K remake/three kingdoms era-inspired plane” as seen on Imperial Recruiter is yet to be determined IMO. Portal Three Kingdoms itself isn’t canon, just for clarity, it’s a book adaptation.

I haven’t seen the movie yet but the character himself is a genetically engineered anti-corporate vigilante, so I’d skew UG.

Roy Graham mentioned in a relatively recent video that Niv-Mizzet is “keenly interested” in the various changes that have swept through the multiverse. With most of the Golgari being compleated, along with many members of the Simic and Izzet, as well as the emergence of omenpaths between planes, and the desparking of numerous planeswalkers, is there anything related to these dynamics that you could address or acknowledge?

Yeah… it was a great reprint but didn’t work flavorfully. She didn’t actually have the veil, although the art showed her mirror image with it

The flavor text on Onakke Javelineer talks about the Chain Veil’s magic influencing Shandalar from Ravnica via Realmbreaker (“with the ways between worlds thrown open”). As far as we know, could that happen through Omenpaths as well?
