That's an excellent question. The answer is... we don't know. 15,000 years isn't all that long geologically speaking, but it was likely SOMEWHAT different, and given the Thran superweapons detonated near the end of the war, definitely changed the landscape.

However:

1) Viashino are a sapient species and could have just migrated at some point.

2) I would not recommend thinking about speciation in Magic like it was a real-world phenomena. Often there's magic involved.

Yeah, we will probably try to do that, especially once the cards are out. I did a little bit of an explainer on my tiktok a couple months ago.

Unfortunately not, the timing just worked out that way for the previous books. I don’t currently have a Magic book on the horizon.

Volshe is one of the Voldalian castes. The Volshe are the scholar and artist caste.
