Only General Tazri was an Ally. Tazri, Beacon of Unity mentions “Ally” in its rules text, but she’s a Human Warrior.

Shivan Meteor, from Planar Chaos, was the first Magic card with 13 in its rules text. We just wanted what felt like a large number and the number 13 felt fun.

I think you said the backface of battles are cast (instead of just transformed) because that allowed you to put instants and sorceries there. Was it also a concern that the creature backsides would’ve had “haste”?

People adapted to set boosters faster than I thought they would.

Which Strixhaven college would (flavorwise) care about Sagas? They’re history recounted in narrative form, so I’m not sure if that would be the domain of Lorehold or Silverquill or both.

Lorehold cares about the information. Silver quill cares about how it’s being communicated.

How well was the Historic mechanic received? It’s one of my favorites and it’s surprising that it’s been 5 years and it hasn’t been a theme in set or product since the original Dominaria set. Where is it on the Storm scale?

Hi Mark - 1st: I love the podcast (and MTG). However, when you have guests on, you HAVE to change how you sign off. You always thank the guest twice and they’re never expecting the 2nd time. Currently, you thank them, they respond; then you say more stuff, you thank them again, they thought they were done, you wait, eventually they start to respond, and it almost always results in you talking over each other. If you want to thank them again, say “thanks again to X” W/OUT leaving room to reply
