I've expanded and upgraded my
Mastodon vs Facebook alternatives comparison tables
. I've added some more lines, fixed a few things and, most importantly, finally added Forte so I no longer have to explain how Forte is similiar to (streams) except this-and-that.

A few corrections...
Instances - (streams)

Instances - (forte) Fediverse Observer (shows 1 instance with no users - [because my instance details are none of your damn business]; I know of several other instances personally and all are visible to fediverse observer, but have not yet been discovered). Fedidb only counts "notable" or "popular" projects with dansup deciding who lives and who dies.

Gender - 8 predefines (streams and forte)
Limit access to your profile: public, approved connections, any individual connection via permissions/roles (streams/forte)

On individual permissions, we do not grant permissions to anybody for things like 'send you posts'.
We cannot control what other people do. We control what we accept
. Anybody can comment, but if we're not accepting comments from you, we'll never see them.
Grant/deny individual permission to repost and quote-post your posts - we do not have a quote post permission. The permission is for somebody to republish your content "as if it was written by them". This only covers usage within the Fediverse Identity Manager.
Max. characters (remote) - Configurable (streams, forte) default is 200,000. Longer posts are sent as Articles.
Restricted/private groups can be joined by - anybody in the fediverse (streams, forte)
Official central directory - (hubzilla) yes, any site can become a mirror of the central directory
OCAP permissions override for media embedded into posts - yes (streams, forte)
