Today the announcement reached me: Google+ will be shut down for public use within the next 10 months. What a pity!
We need something else instead. There are some things being discussed, but for me a 100% no-go is a MySQL or MariaDB. I know this system is also based on it, but I read it can be set up with a real database. I am the database guy, loving the ISO/ANSI standard and thus PostgreSQL. So, for busy servers, where SQLite won't be powerful enough, PostgreSQL is the way to go. Please no discussions about that - we've had them all!
Probably, this system is my choice. I'll try and set up a server myself and link it with the rest of the world.
Hopefully, many of my Google+ contacts will follow.
https://plus.google.com/+HolgerJakobs is my Google+ profile, to be there for another couple of months only.
